The D5 Rescue Descender is suitable for industrial height safety, rope access, edge management, arborists and search and rescue.
It is a double-stop device with an auto-lock function which activates when the handle is released or as a panic brake.
When loaded, the side plates cannot be rotated open due to the positioning of the karabiner and the push button safety closure.
When setting up, the D5 Rescue Descender is easy to attach or detach from rope without disconnecting from your harness. The rope can be back fed to allow smooth ascending or for emergency hauling when used as part of a 2:1 'Z-rig'.
A 360-degree rotating handle clicks when engaged to the mechanism. Suitable for use with 12.7 - 13 mm EN 12841:2006/C approved low-stretch kernmantle rope.

Sorry pushed enter by mistake... to continue on from previous comment.. The Sundstrom membrane kit is a great addition, ie not having to replace the entire mask. The membrane proved very effective at blocking ultra fine particles of sandstone, which I didn't realise until i cleaned the mask. Wouldn't work in noodling machine ( picking opals off conveyor belt) withour one.
