The ProPak-fx breathing apparatus consists of a backplate, carrying harness, and a pneumatic system that contains a cylinder connector, reducer, pressure gauge, whistle and demand valve.
Designed for user comfort and convenience with an adjustable backplate with three waistbelt height settings, a hip pivot point which enables waist belt swivel movement a wraparound harness with reflective webbing, padded side arms (lower harness), padded adjustable shoulder straps (upper harness), and large buckles for easy operation with gloved hands and fast donning and doffing.
The 3M Scott ProPak-fx SCBA has been approved to EN 137:2006 Type 2 (incorporating the stringent full flame engulfment test), MED, ISO 20269-2 and ISO 23269-3.

Sorry pushed enter by mistake... to continue on from previous comment.. The Sundstrom membrane kit is a great addition, ie not having to replace the entire mask. The membrane proved very effective at blocking ultra fine particles of sandstone, which I didn't realise until i cleaned the mask. Wouldn't work in noodling machine ( picking opals off conveyor belt) withour one.
I purchased this because a friend in the mining industry recommended it. He knew I was sanding back a lot of resin work during the April school holidays. It was easy to assemble, use and breathe in. I was impressed with how clean the air was during use. I also like how it wicks sweat and condensation away from the face. This respirator is an excellent design and product.
